SBC2 will give a blue screen that you can see the mouse but no Icons. If you have a black screen go back to SBC1, that covers how to reset the BIOS settings for the monitor settings.

1) Power up the instrument

• Turn on the instrument - wait for flashing blue LED on monitor to turn solid. This may take 1-2 minutes for screen to come on

• If the screen shows only blue with no icons or taskbar, move the mouse around (right, left, up, down) until the cursor is displayed against the blue background Right click anywhere on the screen, and select properties

• The display properties windows is on the primary monitor and cannot be seen. The OS has reverted back to old display properties of a 2-monitor configuration, with the USB being monitor #2

2) Move display properties window and reconfigure display

• On the keyboard hold the ALT key and press the spacebar (careful not to move the mouse)

• Tap the M key

• Click and hold the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the right until the display properties window is visible. If you do not see it, repeat the steps but try dragging the mouse to the left. Eventually you should move/drag the properties into view (see example to right)

• Click the settings tab. Select monitor 2

• Click and place a check mark in the box labeled "Use this device as the primary monitor"

• Select monitor 1

• Click and uncheck the box labeled "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"

• Click Apply, then OK
